Initial findings pointed to a potential 30% reduction in overall security budget spend. as risks were being covered which were very unlikely to materialise if addressed in a different way.

We also identified a further 20% of spending which could be optimised to cover more likely and consequential cyber risks, giving better overall coverage against the firm’s holistic security risks.

Our consultant was able to provide a risk assessment focussed mostly on the data records in addition to other business assets. Based on the identified risks, process improvements were implemented around access to the data and a robust back-up process put in place. After helping the client implement the recommendations, a follow-up report was provided summarising the improvements and documenting the changes to the firm’s overall security risks.
